As an HR Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting with a wide range of HR functions and ensuring the smooth running of our HR department. You will support our HR team in various areas, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and general HR operations. We are currently modernising our HR operations and recruitment processes, and this is a great time join us to be part of the change, gain valuable experience in human resources and contribute to the overall success of UNISON.


Key Responsibilities


– Assist with recruitment activities, by posting job advertisements, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the hiring process including preparation of employment contracts.

– Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a seamless transition into the organisation.

– Maintain accurate employee records on our HR system (Resource Link).

– Support employee relations initiatives by assisting with grievance and disciplinary meetings.

– Administer employee benefits programs, including childcare, retirement plans, and leave management.

– Prepare HR-related reports and maintain HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

– Respond to standard employee enquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.

About you

– Proficiency in HR software and systems.

– Experience in an HR administrative role or similar position.

– Strong knowledge of HR processes, procedures, and best practices.

– Familiarity with employment law.
