HR Advisor - Employee Relations

Set within the forest environment, the HR team is responsible for the welfare of 1,500 employees, ensuring everyone is given an equal opportunity and that our policies are adhered to. We work closely with all departments, offering support and guidance when required.


HR ADVISOR - EMPLOYEE RELATIONS | Circa £32,700 Per Annum


This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly, professional and hard-working HR team. You will report to the Deputy HR Manager and work alongside, a HR Generalist Advisor, HR Operations Advisor and HR Administrators. There may be the opportunity to rotate into one of the different specialist roles periodically.


This role will encompass all aspects of Employee Relations. You will be providing advice to operational managers on complex issues ensuring quality and consistency is achieved through successful case management in order to promote and protect the company values and brand.

You will act as a first point of contact to operational management on all aspects of Employee Relations including discipline, grievance, absence, equality, maternity and paternity; proactively working with managers to achieve optimal outcomes for both business and individual.

You must be highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills alongside relevant experience at HR Advisor level within a large company. Experience with the use of Microsoft Office, report generating and HR / Payroll systems will be necessary.


HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period (40 hours per week). This role is based on site and your working hours will typically be Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. However, flexibility to work evenings and weekends will be required.


As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.


ABOUT YOU

Alongside your good standard of education and previous HR experience, we are seeking a driven and highly motivated professional with significant experience of managing employee relation cases to conclusion, providing professional advice and guidance to managers and staff in the full range of HR issues and a candidate with a good knowledge of employment law.


Essential requirements:

  • Maths and English to Grade C GCSE level or equivalent
  • CIPD level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Previous HR experience within a similar field including a sound understanding of Employment Legislation
  • Analytical thinking along with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
