We are seeking an experienced HR Assistant to play a vital role in the smooth running of the HR Department with a focus on providing a high quality service and ensuring a seamless administration process is followed. This is an exciting role, you will be hands on and there will be opportunity to develop and progress your career in HR with Hydraquip.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Assist with internal onboarding and offboarding processes including arranging company inductions, creating offer letters and contract of employments, conducting right to work checks and notifying relevant departments of a starter or leaver.
- Provide administrative support for disciplinary, grievance, performance and sickness absence investigations and hearings (e.g. producing letters, arranging meetings and taking notes)
- Maintain accurate employee records for new starters and existing employees
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the HR department, including respond to generic employee and manager enquiries, escalating complex queries to senior HR or Payroll.
- Support the HR team in the progression of the HR function in developing induction, training and development, reward, employee relations, absence management, performance management, retention, engagement, wellbeing
- Involvement in recruitment processes, including:
- Advertising roles on Talos (our internal ATS)
- Liaising with Hiring Manager & obtaining feedback on applications
- Updating Talos in line with candidate progress
- Arranging interviews
- Providing feedback to candidates
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is passionate about delivering a first class service at all times. Attention to detail is absolutely essential for this role, along with the ability to prioritise your workload as you will have a wide range of tasks to manage, sometimes with conflicting deadlines. You will be confident in using your initiative and communicating professionally with colleagues at all levels within the business.
You will already have a breadth of experience working in a fast-paced HR role, so you will be able to hit the ground running with understanding of HR processes, priorities and administration tasks.
You must:
- Have a minimum of 1 year of experience working within an HR Administration or Assistant role
- It would be desirable to hold a CIPD Level 3 Foundation qualification; or willingness to complete this
- Have sound knowledge of HR processes and basic knowledge of employment law
- Have the ability to prioritise your workload, adjust timeframes according to changing priorities and provide timely and realistic updates as required
- Have excellent attention to detail, this is a critical requirement.
- Have experience in using Excel, Word & Powerpoint
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – delivering a professional service in every interaction.
