Starting Salary: From £46,998 per annum

Hours: 37 per week

Job Duties:

Hertfordshire County Council is a leading Local Authority with a highly regarded and forward-thinking HR service. Expectations are high, so we need someone with the ability to deliver at pace together with an understanding of all areas of HR. Energetic, enthusiastic and solution focused you will bring recognised HR qualifications. The role of Business Partner HR Manager will take responsibility for ensuring high customer service to one of our largest Service areas within the Council, Adult Care Services. 

Key areas/objectives you will need to deliver as a Business Partner HR Manager are:

  1. Leadership and People Management - Take an active role as part of the Business Partner and HR management team to improve service delivery, proactively looking for improvements to delivery. Work with HR colleagues to identify synergies and opportunities to work collaboratively on HR initiatives.
  2. Strategic Workforce Planning - Working with the above services and HR Resourcing colleagues to develop and embed a workforce plan.
  3. Leading workforce change - Taking a change management and organisational development approach to support departmental restructures, workforce changes and the wider transformation agenda.
  4. Act as Client Manager - on all areas of the People Life Cycle Working with HR colleagues to ensure these services get the HR support and challenge that is required and appropriate.
