HR Officer (Hybrid)
Service Graphics are looking for a HR Officer to join our growing HR and Payroll team. The role is hybrid with the successful candidate working a combination of from home and in branch. Branches include Ashton under Lyne, Skelmersdale and Cheadle Hulme and there may be occasional travel to other branches further afield - this can be discussed in more detail before or during any interview(s). We have flexibility in full time and part time hours, which can be discussed before or during any interview(s) also.
The purpose of the role is to manage all aspects of HR within Service Graphics and the bureau network of companies the department is responsible for. The role is a broad reaching and varied generalist role, including all areas of the employee lifecycle and associated administration.
We are looking for someone with proven experience and knowledge across a breadth of HR activities.
Main Accountabilities:
- Managing and supporting learning and development within the business, including mandatory training requirements and any other training identified by staff and management
- Providing professional advice and guidance on HR matters, in line with employment legislation, policies and procedures; escalating any additional needs to the Head of HR
- Working closely with team members and line management on HR matters, across the full employee lifecycle
- Maintaining employee records within the integrated HR and Payroll system - IRIS Cascade
- Working collaboratively within the HR and Payroll team to support both functions, including administration
- Supporting and leading projects and initiatives within the business
- Be approachable for employees in both Service Graphics, and the wider network of companies
- Ownership of company processes, such as absence management, flexible working etc, highlighting any concerns to the Head of HR and Payroll and other team members
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, including right to work checks, DBS checks and driving related compliance
- Conducting exit interviews and providing feedback to the appropriate individual where necessary
- Maintaining confidentiality of information relating to clients, colleagues and other third parties in accordance with GDPR
- Management of online HR platforms, including the HR and Payroll platform and E-Learning system
- Assisting in creating a suite of reports and audit information when required
- Assisting with adhoc employee enquiries and day to day HR related queries
Essential Competencies or Skills:
- Experience within a HR Generalist position, covering multiple areas of the employee lifecycle
- Competent and confident in Microsoft programmes, including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to plan and organise workload, highlighting any concerns to other team members
- Confidence and ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to listen, understand and make suggestions to benefit the department and other areas of the business
- Diplomacy, integrity and professionalism at all times, including with colleagues and clients
