We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic HR Operations Lead Officer within HR Systems and Support to join our friendly HR team based in Keynsham, Bath.
You will be working as part of the HR Operations team and HR & OD service ensuring that an effective, timely and joined up customer service is provided to managers, employees and members across the council and support the ongoing review and development of HR Operations policy, procedures, systems and processes and initiate ideas to improve the way things are done.
About the role
As the HR Systems Lead Officer, you will be providing an efficient and responsive HR Operations service providing customer friendly advice and guidance to managers and staff across the Council. You will provide support and advice to HR & OD colleagues on the best way of utilising HR & OD systems and management information as well as offering technical understanding.
As the Systems lead, you will lead on content design, development and ongoing maintenance of the HR &OD Intranet and Council’s career's website ensuring user needs are met and complex language and processes are easily understood and manage the technical and system administration support of all HR Systems (e.g., iTrent, Service Now, Allocate, Clear Review, Learning Pool).
Working alongside the HR Systems Manager you will manage the delivery of activity reports/management information, analysing and looking for trends to inform service improvements and work with the HR team to identify and implement service and process improvements.
You will be a strong team player with a collaborative work style and can engage others in the team. You will be able to demonstrate effective communication, influencing and negotiating skills to persuade and influence managers and be confident to develop and maintain excellent relationships and communication channels across the council.
You will be a proactive manager, thinking creatively and you will have the ability to produce simple yet effective workable solutions from a system and procedural prospective. You will be able to demonstrate a proven record of accomplishment in initiating new and improved ways of work and contributing to project work.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent with a qualification in ICT or equivalent experience or a Level 4 in web design and development (or working toward or equivalent via an apprenticeship or other qualification route). You will have a background in designing web pages or programming systems using one or more of HTML, CSS, ASP, VB or XML (or a recognised qualification in any of these languages) and experienced in CMS (Content Management Systems). Experience within HRIS systems (I-Trent) is preferred.
