PEOPLE & CULTURE ADVISOR (FTC - MATERNITY COVER)

Location: Hybrid – 1-2 weekly office days in Swindon SN1 

Salary: £28k -£35k pro-rated

Start Date: Late September or early October 2022

Duration: Approximately 9-10 months, ending July 2023

Hours: Part Time – Approx. 25-30 hours across 5 days 



Purpose of Role

An exciting and varied role intended to nurture Ntegra’s small but close-knit team, championing our culture and empowering our people to do great things whilst loving their jobs. The role reports into the Financial Controller but sits centrally across the whole Ntegra team, working closely with Senior Leadership team, line managers and employees alike.

The role also encompasses HR generalist tasks such as employee lifecycle management, on/offboarding, payroll and pension administration, internal recruitment, employee surveys, HR policy, championing reward and recognition, performance management, L&D and other people initiatives. It also covers some office management responsibilities such as acting as service manager for our outsourced IT providers, managing ISO audits and accreditation, ordering equipment for staff / office, internal event coordination and other ad-hoc projects. 


Responsibilities and Duties

· Recruitment – All internal recruitment including advertising, screening, arranging interviews and eventually offering to successful candidates. 

· New joiner onboarding - Includes equipment issuing, setting them up on our platforms, organising induction plans, delivering of the HR induction on their first day and one and three month follow ups to ensure they are settling in.

· Contractor onboarding – Ensuring the correct process has been followed to ensure IR35 compliance and a smooth experience for the contractor. 

· Leaver offboarding – Timely and thorough process for contractors and permanent staff

· Payroll and pension administration in collaboration with the Financial Controller. 

· Platform Administration: On/offboarding and in-life administration of our Vitality, Royal London and Coretime systems

· L&D: Organising internally and externally hosted training. Coaching line managers on individual career development and learning opportunities. Checking compliance with Missions to ensure everyone has learning goals and that our L&D Wednesdays are running well. 

· Oversight and championing of the Performance cycle: Ensuring goals (Rocks) are set and effective, that appraisals take place and linking them to our pay review cycle. 

· Employee surveys and polls: An important and ongoing practice for capturing feedback from our people and working on responsive remediation practices. 

· Policy updates: Keep abreast of employment law changes and best practice 

· Ad-hoc manager assistance in cases such as, disciplinary, performance issues or long term or serious staff illness. (With external HR Consultant assistance if required)

· ISO – Lead ISO compliance for Ntegra ensuring ISO processes and principles are followed and we’re in a good position for May 2023 audit. 

· Morale boosting activities such as internal events (quizzes, team lunches, get-togethers) Teams engagement, Hackathons, internal competitions.

· Wellbeing and social awareness and initiatives around awareness days 

· General office management tasks such as ordering equipment, coordinating with the office landlords, liaising with our IT service providers. 


Essential Skills:


· Circa 3-5+ years in a generalist HR Advisory role, or Office Management role with an Employee Experience focus

· CIPD Level 3 qualified or equivalent experience

· Used to working autonomously and using initative to understand what needs to be done

· A good understanding of (and passion for) culture and employee experience

· Must have integrity, will come across confidential information and handle it with care and empathy

· Highly effective listening and communication skills

· Good level of Microsoft Office proficiency 

· Experience administering internal systems (such as HR systems, time and attendance.)

Desirable Skills


  • Experience in a small, technology focused business
  • Experience in primarily working remotely 
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or studying towards)
  • Experience with ISO
  • Experience with ‘Great Place to Work’
  • Previous HR experience with a focus on L&D or Employee Experience/Engagement.
