People Manager

Location: Milton Keynes - We offer hybrid working with the expectation of three days per week in the office

Salary: £37,800 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday


About the role


This varied role requires a flexible approach with the ability to take personal initiative and prioritise workload whilst being a team player within a collaborative environment.


As an ambitious and expanding national charity, we are determined and committed to investing in our people – whether that’s our members, staff, trustees or volunteers our people matter and are at the heart of everything we do.


As our people manager, you’ll support effective HR management across the charity. Working with the head of people and operations you will lead by example and help us create robust HR systems and processes, nurture, invest in and grow our people through the implementation of an effective L&D strategy, be part of our EDI and safeguarding working groups and identify ways we can continuously improve our attraction and retention.

You will line manage the people and governance coordinator and oversee their role supporting SIA‘s trustees, committee, board meetings and HR administration.


You will hold/be interested in studying for a CIPD qualification and have experience across a broad range of HR practices.
