People Partner

The role

From the very outset we will be looking for you to develop and lead on a comprehensive onboarding program that reinforces our culture and values, and play an active role in development, implementation and improvement of our recruitment and retention metrics.


Obviously, there is a lot more work to do and your duties will include but are not limited to the following:


  • Work closely with senior managers to annually review through workforce planning their priorities for the year and identify support and interventions required to realise their departmental and organisational priorities and objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of sound practices and provide accurate advice to senior staff of the Association on current employment legislation, including Discipline and Grievance, TUPE, and Employment Contracts.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the People strategy on areas including recruitment and selection, training and development, attendance management, health and wellbeing, reward and recognition and performance management.
  • Manage employee relations matters including grievance, disciplinary and dismissals, providing sound advice about employment tribunals and changing employment legislation.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Develop and deliver people related workshops, e.g., supporting attendance management.

  • An accomplished facilitator with experience in the delivery of people related workshops including, e.g., attendance management, performance management.
  • A strong skillset around the core Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in managing people centric projects from creation to delivery.


Whilst a CIPD level 5/7 would be desirable we are happy to consider applicants with extensive experience obtained ’on the job’.


This role will require the jobholder to possess a Basic DBS Certificate.


The jobholder will be required to travel between home and sites across Northwest, North Wales, Derbyshire. Head office is located in West Bromwich.
