Acting as a true business partner, the role will be a visible presence in the services where they will partner with manager(s) in managing labour costs and risk, in particular through managing employee relations and suspension cases. Minimising labour turnover, temporary agency usage and reducing absenteeism.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for all people related issues, acting as the lead point of contact.
  • Responsible for all people related issues, acting as the lead point of contact.
  • Act as the subject matter expert in all aspects of employee relations; including grievance and disciplinary matters, absence management, retention and performance management, effectively managing risk to the business.
  • Provide managers with advice and guidance on individual cases and oversee to an outcome in a timely manner, providing pragmatic solutions escalating complex or sensitive issues to the Head of People.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of workforce requirements to assist managers with the planning and deployment of employees.
  • Responsible for retention practices to ensure stable labour turnover.
  • Through succession planning sessions, talent reviews and retention initiatives, support the business in identifying, engaging and retaining top talent.
  • Ensure that HR systems are utilised efficiently, that data held is accurate and up-to-date.
