Role Context

The primary role is to ensure that HR advice and coaching is provided in relation to employee relations and people policies and procedures to all managers and employees at Royal HaskoningDHV in the UK. Partnering with our business leaders to realise their people agenda.

Reporting directly to the Country HR manager for the UK, working within our People relations team.

What will you do as a People Relations and Business Partner?

 

• Provide Employee Relations support ensuring that all advice provided is in line with HR policy and procedures

• Coach and advise line managers regarding policy and legislation changes

• Work closely with our People Services team and Global Centres of Expertise for an efficient, and effective employee experience from the job offer acceptance to off boarding employees (Hire2Retire)

• Work as part of the People Relations Team in the UK to support the delivery of annual processes effectively and efficiently, such as pay increases; variable pay and any other country-led projects

• Coach managers on individual employee relations issues including, but not limited to, absenteeism, grievances, performance issues, disciplinaries, personal development, & engagement

• Support the review and updating of HR policies and procedures in line with country specific legislation

• Support communication of up-to-date HR policies and guidance as appropriate

• Support continuous improvements initiatives relating to HR processes and services

• Support the execution of restructuring, relocations, mergers & acquisitions

• Engage with the Global mobility team on Immigration matters to ensure alignment within the business and support compliance of our Immigration sponsorship program

Furthermore, you will:

 


• Work closely with the Senior Leadership and Stakeholders to build and implement new HR/People strategies that are aligned with current Business objectives and drive change across the businesses

• Lead organisational change by providing change management strategies, defining, and implementing communication plans

• Collaborate with the wider HR Business Partner team, in which you’ll work together on driving the global People Agenda

• Manage and facilitate organizational design and development, leadership coaching, and team building that support change and growth

• Drive employee engagement within the business units by advising on the design and detail of execution plans

What will you bring?

You will quickly understand the organization, understanding what is needed and how to translate this into the organisation and the people agenda. With your problem-solving skills, communication skills and collaborative focus, you are an ideal sparring partner for the business.

In addition, you have:

• Strong Employee Relations experience including organizational change processes and change management

• Experience of supporting businesses in relation to TUPE & acquisitions

• Significant consultation experience relating to both individual and collective consultation

• Organising and planning skills

• Cultural sensitivity

• A passion for people and culture and the ability to drive initiatives within Business Units.

• Several years of experience in an HR advisory role, at a senior level

• Experience working in a global and matrix environment, would be advantageous

• Effective communication skills with the ability to build confidence, and credibility, whilst engaging in challenging conversations

• The ability to deal with complexity and change management in a positive and proactive manner.

• Experience in advising and supporting colleagues and management on ER issues to support the (quality of the) decision-making process, create risk-awareness and improve the quality of (business) process

• Minimum of CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel Development) level 5
