Salary: £51,060 per annum 

Location: Students’ Union building, Whiteknights, Reading, RG6 6EH

Contract: Full time – 35 hours per week

About the role


The Head of People and Culture will drive organisational success and employee satisfaction through effective planning and management as part of the Senior Leadership Team.


They will lead on developing and implementing a people and Culture strategy which will shape a positive workplace culture, manager resources efficiently, ensure legal compliance and nurture staff growth. Additionally, them will be responsible for ensuring inclusive and sustainable policies, overseeing staff development and managing strong stakeholder relationships.


Key Responsibilities


  • Create and deliver a People and Culture Strategy aligned with organisation’s strategy and values.
  • Ensure and implement a suite of HR policies that facilitate the smooth running or the organisation’s services.
  • Work closely with departmental managers in the role of business partner to address strategic people issues within their departments.
  • Create and annual training and development plan with promotes business improvement and positive culture.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues
