What we are looking for in you

We are a values-based organisation so have a look at the attached job description for more information about the way we do things at CGA. We are looking for someone who shares our values and has previous experience of providing admin support in a busy role.  This is a full time role, based at our offices on Preston Docks with occasional travel to our other locations in Preston.

The main things:

  • Passionate about providing a great customer service
  • Excellent administrative skills with experience in a similar role. HR experience is a bonus, but not essential. You will however need an understanding of the role of HR within an organisation, particularly around GDPR.
  • Outstanding organisational skills. You will need to be pro-active in managing your work, and supporting the team on a range of tasks.
  • The role requires access to a car with business insurance.
  • You are confident in analysing data and providing reports.
  • You'll need great IT skills particularly with Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.

We aim to make our employee experience second to none and our benefits package reflects how we much we value our colleagues. We offer a variety of wellbeing benefits and development opportunities, in addition to generous holiday entitlement. You'll start on 22 days leave (rising to a maximum of 27 days with length of service) plus bank holidays, an additional 3 days for Christmas closure and another day for your birthday.  We also enrol all our colleagues in a company paid health cash plan and pay up to 8% employer pension contributions. Check out the attached leaflets for more info!

Inclusion is key for us. We would love to hear from people from diverse backgrounds for this role, and second languages come in handy.

Previous applicants need not apply. No agencies please.

Dates for your diary:

The closing date for this role is Thursday 18th April 2024 at midnight with interviews held Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th April 2024.

We know interviews aren't everyone's cup of tea (or coffee) so these will consist of a skills test and an interview that we will keep informal as possible, focusing on your experience and knowledge.

We are expecting a high number of applicants for this role so we may close this vacancy early. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
