The Role

The People Team Administrator is an integral part of the smooth running of OQC. Providing day-to-day support with team queries and taking ownership of the onboarding of new starters; they are key to the creation of a supportive company culture and work environment. They also have the opportunity to take on longer term projects to develop and improve the functioning of the People Team 


This role also supports the People function by assisting in accurate and reliable administrative duties, presenting key metrics to monitor team success and drive improvements, helping to manage internal communication, and being an ambassador of the value-led culture.


Responsibilities include:

  • Managing employee life cycle activities for all employees including assisting with contracts, offers, onboarding and offboarding
  • Assist in the reviewing HR related policies, principles, handbooks and process manuals
  • Preparing data for reports (Holidays, Performance reviews, Diversity, Gender pay-gap)
  • Internal communications and announcements
  • Assisting the People Team with any matters they require resolution of HR related queries and matters
  • Drive improvement in diversity, inclusion and engagement
  • Assist in OQC’s learning and development processes, including arranging any team training
  • Support in contingent projects ranging from transitioning to new technical HRl tools/software to new company initiatives   
  • Producing and issuing all correspondence e.g. contracts of employment, pay rises, promotions, maternity leave letters etc.
  • Adding and maintaining employee records on the HRIS and ensuring the timely collection of associated paperwork, e.g. Right to Work and Payroll information etc. 


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in similar role (preferred)
  • Experience of Contract Preparation (preferred)
  • Comfortable with google tools, particularly google sheets
  • Resilient and open to giving and receiving feedback
  • Excellent prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Discreet and empathetic approach to handling HR issues
  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent professional experience (preferred)

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Start-up or tech industry experience
  • Experience of liaising with third party vendors
  • Experience of G Suite, Lattice
  • Change management
  • Knowledge of UK HR Legislation
