HR Adviser

Kiwa UK is looking for a HR Adviser to join their HR Operations Team. In this role you will use your HR knowledge to provide effective and commercial advice and coach managers across all levels of Kiwa. You will be our Employee Relations specialist; always driving a proactive Employee Relations approach. This role is located in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham with hybrid working.


About the role

  • Support with day-to-day queries, providing excellent HR advice and guidance
  • To be the first point of contact for all employee relations for all of Kiwa UK
  • Ensure all ER cases are advised on and managed in line with employment law, company policies and procedures, values and approach
  • Act proactively as source of expertise and support for the business in area of Employee Relations and culture
  • Coach and influence managers of varying seniority across the business
  • Role model supportive ER processes aligned to Kiwa culture and values, always demonstrating the use of appropriate language and behaviours, verbal, non-verbal and written
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed ER tracker, in order to provide HR stats and data as required, and to monitor progress
  • Provide professional advice and guidance on equality issues to ensure compliance with equality legislation and best practice, a natural focus on EDI to ensure it develops naturally
  • Active participation in HR Operational projects; lead projects on occasion
  • Lead the Mental Health Champions project, and wider wellbeing initiatives such as the Menopause accreditation (in process)
  • Continue to drive Kiwa culture efforts within the Business Unit/s
  • Contribute to the HR communications calendar, managed by the Talent & Employer Branding Coordinator, taking the lead on comms relating to changes in legislation, and employment best practice.
  • Understand how a proactive Employee Relations approach contributes to the HR strategy and the Kiwa UK strategy, and drive this through all interactions with stakeholders
  • Develop policies, processes, approaches, working closely with the HR Operations Manager; ensuring good document control, as required. Continually monitor effectiveness, suitability for purpose, and alignment with culture and strategy.
  • Dealing with disputes appropriately (such as ACAS, mediation, tribunal cases)

 

Do you have what it takes?

  • HR experience (ER experience essential)
  • Experience of working in a multi-site, multi-discipline business
  • Relevant experience of balancing the needs of customers, shareholders and employees
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships with stakeholders
  • Ability to engage, inspire and influence people
  • Future focused by thinking ahead
  • Excellent communication skills


What can you expect from us in return?

  • up to £37,000 per annum
