HR Advisor

The Role:

Allied Mills is the UK’s third largest miller and mills wheat for everything from bread to bagels, pasties to pastries, doughnuts, cookies, burger buns, pizzas, naan bread and chapattis, noodles and pasta. Our people are our standards, and that’s why we’re ABF’s Miller of Choice.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to cover our sites in Tilbury, Manchester and Belfast. You’ll be a key member of the HR team responsible for accurate and timely completion of HR administration as well as providing a and guidance to our line managers in all aspects of the employee lifecycle. 

Key Responsibilities:

·       Be an ambassador of our values to ensure a culture where everyone feels valued, connected, and free to bring their whole self to work.

·       Provide pragmatic guidance and advice to managers across the business in line with company policy and values.

·       Support line managers in the recruitment, selection and onboarding processes, ensuring a fair and inclusive approach to attract a diverse talent pool.

·       Answer colleague queries and signpost to relevant resources.

·       Maintain and update HR documentation including job descriptions, policies, procedures, template letters and forms.

·       Support the delivery of the Wellbeing and I,D&B strategies through events, internal comms and signposting to relevant resources

What you need to succeed:

We’re a small team so you will need to be self-motivated, used to juggling multiple priorities and working at pace. You’ll have:

·       generalist HR experience in an FMCG environment.

·       the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business.

·       excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

·       experience using data to analyse trends and identify potential issues.

·       current knowledge of HR legislation and policy and the confidence to give feedback to line managers.

This role is based at either Manchester or Tilbury with occasional travel to the other sites, as well as the ability to work from home one day a week.
