If the answer is yes - then look no further as Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a HR Advisor due to the team expanding to join our team in Folkestone, Kent on a permanent basis based at our Folkestone site 5 days per week.


The Human Resources Advisor is a critical member of the HR team, responsible for delivering an effective service to the company’s UK subsidiary, comprising of a manufacturing site, logistics centre, R&D facility and commercial offices. The role will work alongside the existing HR Advisor to deliver an effective HR service and support the implementation of corporate HR initiatives. Critical to this role is building and maintaining credible relationships across the whole UK business to provide support to both the management team and employees.


Key Responsibilities include:


  • Provide sound and consistent advice to all employees and line managers, offering assistance through various communication channels such as telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Undertake administrative tasks as required and contribute to allocated projects and reports requested by the HRM or other senior managers.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to the HR Coordinator (HRI) to enhance their professional development.
  • Improve communication across the organization by ensuring employees have access to up-to-date and relevant HR and business-related information through Lunch & Learn sessions, newsletters, notice boards, etc.
  • Support the setup and rollout of presentations at Town Hall Meetings and Team briefs.
  • Maintain HR notice boards and TV screens in collaboration with the HRM.
  • Actively utilize and ensure the integrity of data within HR databases (Workforce, Workday, and hard files) at all times.
  • Ensure appropriate recording and retention of personal data and timely provision of relevant information to the Payroll Officer for monthly payroll processing.
  • Create and issue employee change letters (e.g., salary, shift, job title) in coordination with the HRM.


The ideal candidate will be minimum CIPD Level 5 Qualified with significant experience in a comparable fast paced-industry such as manufacturing/logistics. In addition, they will:


  • Have up to date knowledge of UK employment law with significant experience of managing complex ER casework
  • Be digitally savvy – very confident with Microsoft Programs and managing a HR Information System (Workday would be ideal)
  • Be a team player, able to build credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation
  • Have excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Be agile – able to make decisions quickly and with limited information
