We are currently seeking a Human Resources Officer based in Redditch with hybrid working available.


Key Tasks:

To provide generalist, first line support and assistance to Line Managers and their employees. In addition to providing day to day advice and guidance to enable both employees and the organisation to function more effectively, it is important to ensure Swisslog are acting fairly and within legal constraints. The post holder is also responsible for the maintenance of accurate records and documentation of all employees.


  • Provide 1st line support for Line Managers, staff and external contacts and to regularly meet Line Managers to discuss issues and support as an when required
  • Manage the HR Administrator in the absence of HR Manager ensuring that appraisals are carried out and workload is reviewed and monitored on a weekly basis raising any issues to the HR Manager
  • Support managers in the recruitment of their staff advising on the most appropriate recruitment methods, manage the relationship with agencies, web based recruitment providers and attending interviews, where appropriate
  • Be responsible for maintaining all recruitment vacancies using the Success Factors tool and ensuring line managers have the correct training to use the system effectively
  • Administer, provide advice and support Line Managers in relation to grievance and disciplinary hearings up to and including final written warning. Always ensuring HR Manager and Croner are kept up to date during the whole process
  • Maintain effective records and documentation for Human Resources and improve and provide processes where required, ensuring that all forms reflect current business practice and are up to date
  • Facilitate communication between colleagues and external vendor to ensure seamless visa processing by addressing queries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely visa approval
  • Ensure that all performance and development reviews are conducted, and advice is given to Line Managers when required highlighting any issues to the HR Business Partner
  • Ensure the performance management process in enforced and objectives are set for all employees and STIP’s are planned for the required.
  • Compile training plans for Line Managers and update them on a quarterly basis


Your Background:

  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent in written and oral English language
  • Strong knowledge of MS office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.)
  • Educated to GCSE standard in Mathematics and English, Degree desirable
  • Chartered Institute of Personnel Development Level 5 or 7
  • Previous HR experience at HR Officer level
  • Demonstrable experience of written English with strong grammar and comprehension
  • Demonstrable ability at proof-reading documents with good attention to detail
  • Proven experience of providing a high standard of customer service both internally and externally
  • Professional approach
  • Able to travel to different company sites when necessary
