In-house Recruiter

Oversee the in-house recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding new hires, ensuring all pre-employment tasks are completed. To deliver a positive and highly engaging candidate experience to attract, recruit and hire talent into the Hill Robinson corporate function globally.

 

Collaborate with Group/Local HR and Hiring Managers at all levels across the business to effective and efficiently attract new talent to the business through innovative solutions.


Responsibilities


Resourcing

·       Follow the correct approval process from commencement of a new role through to the offer stage including receipt of hiring approvals prior to advertisement

·       Engage with the Hiring Manager to understand recruitment and commercial requirements and agrees recruitment criteria/process as well as, assessment/selections tools, key dates and timelines and ensuring they are updated throughout the different stages of the end-to-end process

·       Guide and support Line Managers through the Workforce Plan toolkit

·       Manage the service delivery for the end to end resourcing process, taking ownership and accountability and ensures this is done within set SLA’s and KPIs and delivered to agreed quality standards

·       To provide effective and responsive recruitment solutions to hiring managers, making informative decisions on how to best and most effectively source candidates; in-house, proactive LinkedIn searching, own networks, external agency partnership etc.

·       Use specialist knowledge to determine the most cost effective and efficient resourcing plan for every role

·       Coach, support, and advise managers on candidate selection to ensure the right person is hired

 

Onboarding

·       Follow and ensure compliance for pre-employment requisite tasks at the prescribed stage of the recruitment and onboarding process that you oversee:

o Taking references, both verbal and written

o Ensuring NDDs are in place prior to commencement of employment

o Arrange Talent Dynamics assessments for use as part of the recruitment process

o Working with our 3rd party provider to undertake background checks, escalating any flags as necessary

o Completing or arranging right to work checks

o Liaising with Line Managers or Local Office as necessary to ensure everything is set up for their first day including IT equipment, training plan, etc

o Issuing or organising new joiner welcome packs

o Make offers within the approved budget, draft and send offer letters and employment contracts

·       Work with local HR to convert candidates to hire status on our HRIS system

·       Make introductions between new joiner and their Local HR representative on the new joiners first day

·       Ensure all recruitment records and documents are recorded and uploaded to BambooHR

 

Post hire and ongoing

·       Capture feedback from candidates or Line Managers during the recruitment process for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

·       Retain salary benchmarking data and compile market rate information

·       Collaborate with Group HR to build our People Management resource hub to guide Hiring Managers:

o Expand the interview question bank

o Grow and maintain the recruitment library for job descriptions, case studies and interview questions

·       Use proactive search to connect with potential future talent and grow our Talent Pool, working to privacy laws regarding storing and retaining personal data

·       Periodically review and renegotiate fees/rates with external Agencies

·       Develop and maintain metrics in relation to recruitment:

o In house : Agency : Referral

o Time to Hire

o Offer acceptance rate

o Cost to Hire

·       Review integrations with our BambooHR to ensure our recruitment and selection is as smooth as possible

·       Assist Group HR with note taking on an ad hoc basis as required

·       Any other duty deem appropriate for the role and skillset



Person, skills, and knowledge specification

·       Seasoned experience of in-house recruitment

·       Strong background in recruitment at all levels from entry to Executive level recruitment

·       Experience in recruiting in a global organisation

·       Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

·       Strong skills with all MS office systems

·       High level of emotional intelligence and a strong sense of responsibility

·       To work with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion

·       Resilience and ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving and constantly changing environment with a willingness to adopt a hands-on approach

·       Excellent organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise competing demands

·       To Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and streamlining processes and activities

·     Ability to juggle various elements simultaneously and to deadline

·       Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision

·       Ambitious and energetic, with strong inter-personal skills

·      Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management


Opportunity for hybrid working up to 2 days per week following probation.
