Amidst our quest to make good things happen when we travel, this role focuses on making good things happen for our people. We are looking for someone that embodies our spirit and culture to lead our people strategy and operations.

This is a part-time, 3 days per week or equivalent hours role, with hybrid working options. We are a growing team of 17 people and want to develop our team’s experience in a progressive environment to support business and personal growth.



What is the role?

  • Implement a progressive People strategy, in alignment with the business’s strategic aims and our international business.
  • Maintain and update People processes, frameworks and services, with a focus on evaluation and improvement.
  • Partner with the MD and leadership roles to guide and support employee welfare.
  • Promote a positive work environment and handle Employee Relations issues arising.
  • Develop employer value proposition and recruitment processes to ensure that we attract and retain the best people.
  • Take ownership for the end-to-end employee life cycle, with a focus on enhancing our onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Manage, develop and review performance management frameworks, so that learning and growth pathways are meaningful.
  • Implement a fair, progressive and structured salary and review programme.
  • Lead the implementation of Learning & Development opportunities.
  • Foster in-work and social connection, so that engagement levels are boosted and maintained.
  • Review and update policies on an ongoing basis, in line with changing legislation and best practice.
  • Remain informed about ever-changing HR and business landscapes, to ensure that People activity always remains relevant to internal and external audiences.
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment-related legislation (including updates to employment law, GDPR, ACAS best practice, Health & Safety).
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders of all levels across the wider international business in order to share ideas, efficiency wins and best practice.
  • Coordinate additional ad hoc duties, such as overseeing office practicalities as needed.

What have you got?

  • A passion for working with people and supporting them to thrive
  • Proven experience in an HR Manager/People role including recruitment, policy writing, performance management, ER and legal competency
  • Effective at engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Proficient at identifying and resolving issues
  • Demonstrates high EQ and able to grow trust across the business
  • Adaptable to change in strategy, project, direction or priority
  • Knowledge of employment-related regulations, with accuracy and competency to interpret and implement accordingly
  • CIPD Level 5+ qualification desired but not essential
  • A creative and entrepreneurial mindset, who is up for a challenge and capable of big-picture thinking
  • You must be a hard worker, but a strategic one. Focus your efforts where you can have the most impact.
  • Great communication and leadership skills
  • Able to tell a story and bring people along with them
