Project Manager - iTrent HR & Payroll System Implementation

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for driving successful IT implementations? We have an exciting opportunity for an 18-month fixed term contract to project manage the implementation of the MHR iTrent HR & Payroll Application for Bath & North East Somerset Council.

 

About the Role: As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end implementation of the new iTrent system. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and third-party vendors to ensure a seamless transition.
  • Overseeing the data cleanse process to ensure accurate and reliable data migration.
  • Coordinating the implementation of a new iTrent instance within the cloud, working directly with application vendor Midland HR.
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration between Council employees and project teams.
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Project Leadership: Lead the project team through all phases of the implementation, from planning to post-go-live support.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Data Migration: Oversee data cleansing activities and ensure data integrity during migration.
  • Cloud Implementation: Work closely with IT, HR Operations, Financial Systems and MHR to set up the new iTrent instance within the cloud.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address project risks promptly.
  • Collaboration: Foster effective collaboration among internal teams, consultants, and third parties.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the successful delivery of the iTrent system on time and within budget.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

 

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in IT implementations.
  • Familiarity with HR & Payroll systems, preferably iTrent.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
