Senior HR Advisor - Maternity Cover

We are looking for a Senior HR Adisor to cover maternity leave for up to 18 months.


JOB PURPOSE

     

Supporting the Head of HR, to provide a professional Human Resources service to 2 production units, 6 small service centres across the UK (around 150 UK employees) and a small number of Group employees based in the UK. In addition, support to Region North-Central EMEA and Group where needed.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

·      Provide a Human Resource service to the business to a high standard.

 

·      Including but not limited to:

 

Ø Recruitment; marketing, profiling job descriptions, pre-selection of candidates, selection interviews, Harrison online assessments, final decision and contracts, organising and delivering new starter inductions and onboarding

 

Ø Performance management; support managers in carrying out interviews, evaluating the outcomes of the interviews and developing a business plan for the training and development

 

Ø Support in training and development; analysis of development - needs to ensure actual and future performance. Development action (of internal and external in the job/off the job and on the job). Deliver training programmes where needed

  

Ø Employee relations; Support management in maintaining a good working environment, relationship, and provide strong advice when needed in relation to Disciplinary and Grievance. 

  

Ø Any other duties as may reasonably be required, consistent with the post such as administration, group reporting, etc.

 

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE / SKILLS NEEDED

 

·      Must be Chartered Institute of Personal Development qualified (level 5 minimum)

 

·      Formal relevant qualifications ranging from GCSE and A-Levels (A* - C) including English and ideally possess a Level 3 (NVQ) Certificate in Business and Administration

 

·      Human Resources generalist experience for at least 3 years

 

·      Good knowledge of UK Law and regulations with the ability to work with legal advisers to provide guidance to the business

 

·      Must be able to work on own initiative, although coaching will be available as Head of HR will have ultimate responsibility.

 

·      Must be organised, able to work in a pressurised environment where projects are running concurrently and the volume of work does not run smoothly, whilst maintaining and maintain

 

·      Excellent IT skills including working knowledge of word processing, Excel spreadsheets and presentation software packages, preferably Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
